How Much Does a Wedding Photographer Cost in the North West? (2026 Pricing Guide)

August 15, 2026

“How much does a wedding photographer cost?” is usually one of the first questions couples search once they get engaged — and one of the hardest to get a straight answer to, because so many photographers hide their prices behind an enquiry form. So here’s a straight answer, with real 2026 figures.

**Ceremony Only Cover — £350**
Up to 3 hours, covering guest arrivals through to group photos. This is the package most couples choose for a register office wedding, or when a second event (like a larger reception later) already has its own coverage sorted. It includes a private online gallery, full-resolution downloads, full sharing and printing rights, a sneak peek within 48 hours, and a pre-wedding consultation to plan the day.

**Half Day Coverage — £599**
Up to 5 hours, from guest arrivals through to speeches. This is the most popular choice for couples who want the full emotional arc of the day — the nerves before the ceremony, the reactions during it, the relief and joy straight after — without paying for the entire day. Same inclusions as above: private gallery, full-resolution downloads, full rights, 48-hour sneak peek, and planning support.

**Full Day Coverage — £799 (currently a summer offer, usually £999)**
Covers the whole day, from morning preparations through to your first dance. If you want everything — getting ready, the finer details of the morning, the ceremony, the speeches, the first dance — without watching the clock, this is the one. Same full set of inclusions as the other two packages.

What actually affects a wedding photographer’s price

Prices vary a lot between photographers, and it’s rarely about how good the photos are — it’s usually one of these:

– **Hours of coverage.** More hours, more editing time afterwards, more cost. This is why “how many hours do I actually need” matters more than most couples realise (we’ve written a full guide on that here: [Your Wedding Day Photography Timeline](#)).
– **Second shooters.** Some packages include a second photographer for a different angle on the same moments (useful for large wedding parties or two ceremony locations); others don’t.
– **Albums and prints.** Digital-only packages are cheaper than ones that include a printed album, which can add several hundred pounds on its own.
– **Travel and location.** A photographer travelling well outside their usual area will often add a travel fee, which is worth asking about upfront rather than finding out later.
– **Editing style and turnaround.** Heavily retouched, magazine-style editing takes longer than a documentary, true-to-life edit — which is part of why a candid, minimal-intervention approach (like ours) can also mean a faster gallery turnaround.
