Ullet Road Church wedding photographer
Ullet Road Church in Liverpool is a Grade I listed Gothic Revival building, and it is one of the most dramatic places I have photographed a wedding. The architecture does a lot of the work. Tall windows, stone, height everywhere you point the camera. The trick is not to let the building swallow the couple.
I am an Ormskirk-based wedding photographer and Liverpool is a short run for me, so travel is included. My style is natural and candid, which matters in a church more than most places, because most ministers will not have a photographer moving around the aisle rearranging people mid-ceremony, and nor should they.
A real wedding at Ullet Road Church
Sam and Sammy married at Ullet Road Church in September 2026. They arrived in matching vans and brought their own gothic flair to a day that turned out gloriously sunny from start to finish. The mix of dark Gothic Revival stone and bright September light gave the gallery a character all of its own.

What to know about photographing here
The contrast is the thing. Stained glass and tall windows throw very bright light into a very dark interior, which is exactly the situation that catches out an inexperienced photographer or an automatic camera. Photographed properly it is the reason the images look the way they do.
Ask the church what they allow during the ceremony. Rules vary and it is better to know in advance than to find out at the door. Everything before and after is usually open, and the exterior gives you plenty for group shots and confetti without needing to travel.

Ceremony is £350 and covers up to three hours, from guest arrivals through to the group photos. Half Day Coverage is £649 and runs up to five hours, from guest arrivals through to the speeches. Full Day is £999 and covers up to ten hours, from getting ready to the first dance.
