The Glade wedding photographer
The Glade sits inside Rosliston Forestry Centre at Swadlincote, surrounded by trees. It is an outdoor-led venue, which means the weather is part of the plan rather than a thing that happens to you, and the photography has to work with whatever the day gives.
I am a wedding photographer based in Ormskirk and I travel for weddings, with no extra charge for distance.
A real wedding at The Glade
Sarah and Josh married at The Glade in October 2025. Josh, an army man through and through, wore a striking red suit that matched his groomsmen, and the colour against the autumn woodland is what carries the whole gallery. They booked full day coverage and received 657 images.

What to know about photographing here
Woodland light changes constantly through the day and the tree cover eats a lot of it. An autumn wedding here goes dark earlier than you would expect, so if you want couple portraits in daylight, put them earlier in the schedule than feels natural.
Colour is the other thing. Strong colours work beautifully against woodland, and muted ones can disappear into it. Worth bearing in mind when you are choosing suits and dresses.

Coverage and cost
Ceremony is £350 and covers up to three hours, from guest arrivals through to the group photos. Half Day Coverage is £649 and runs up to five hours, from guest arrivals through to the speeches. Full Day is £999 and covers up to ten hours, from getting ready to the first dance. Every package includes a pre-wedding consultation, a private online gallery, full-resolution downloads with full sharing and printing rights, and sneak peeks within 48 hours. Full Day also includes priority editing, with your gallery inside three weeks, and free travel.
